Due to uncertainty around changing COVID regulations and the potential impact of sickness within our teams; NMRN may be required to adjust opening hours or close sites at short notice. Whilst all efforts will be made to avoid this and to contact ticket holders ahead of visits we do ask you to check our Facebook and Twitter accounts for details of closures. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

Pre-booking is advised, and visitors must wear masks for their safety and the safety of others, unless exempt.

HMS Caroline remains temporarily closed. Find The Latest COVID-19 Updates Here.

This week we made the exciting announcement that our sites in Portsmouth, Gosport, Yeovilton and Hartlepool would be reopening in the coming weeks with tickets being available to pre-book from Thursday 6 August.

Just like us, many of you were overjoyed by our exciting announcement and couldn’t wait to get back on board. As you may know all of our tickets now have to be booked online as this helps us manage capacities and adhere to social distancing measures. Unfortunately this led to a high demand for online bookings and we experienced some technical issues with our website. As a result we had to make the difficult decision to take our tickets off sale which is why so many of you experienced difficulties.

We are just as disappointed as you are about this. But rest assured, it’s all hands on deck and we are working away behind the scenes in order to get our website back up and running.

Once everything is ship shape again we will spread the word via our website and social media channels stating that tickets are now available to purchase, so keep an eye out for this.

If you had managed to purchase tickets but did not receive any email confirmation we apologise for any inconvenience and worry this may have caused. Please contact us on enquiries@nmrn.org.uk where a member of staff will be able to assist you, but don’t forget to check your junk box first.

In the meantime if you want to keep up to date with all the latest announcements you can join our mailing list

As well as news of our website being fixed we will also have more exciting announcements to share with you soon. This includes the launch of our VJ Day commemorations in which we will have a variety of free online events you can attend. More information about this will be shared on our social media accounts at the start of next week, so make sure to check back soon!

We are looking forward to reopening our sites and can’t wait to welcome you back in order to share the history of the Royal Navy. See you soon!
