    HMS Barham was a new Queen Elizabeth class Super Dreadnought battleship.  She was the flagship of the Fifth Battle Squadron flying the flag of Rear Admiral Hugh Evan-Thomas.  On 30th May 1916, 9 Boys from Barham had their routine vaccinations while the Ship was alongside at Rosyth before the ship sailed later that day.

    As experts on firepower and explosives, this year’s Fireworks at The National Museum of the Royal Navy’s Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower looks set to be even bigger and better than before.
     
    The sky above Explosion at Priddy’s Hard in Gosport will be lit up with an array of colours, timed with music on October 30th for the family-friendly event.
     
    There will be so much to see and do, including a fire-performer, bonfire, fairground, food and drink stalls, bouncy castle, face painters and free entry to Explosion.

    SIBLINGS TRAVEL ACROSS THE GLOBE TO VISIT JUTLAND EXHIBITION 

    We were delighted to welcome brother and sister David and Jill Stoker, who travelled from California and New Zealand to experience our Jutland exhibition.

    Their grandfather Philip White was a torpedo gunner on HMS Spitfire at the Battle of Jutland in 1916. They were delighted to spot an image which they think shows their grandfather in action at the Battle of Jutland.
