Concorde 002

Step into the thrilling world of Concorde with an experience like no other. Take an exclusive, up-close tour of Concorde 002, the first Concorde built in the UK. Walk through its interior and explore its sleek exterior, uncovering the pivotal role it played in the Concorde development programme. 

From its ground breaking design to its storied flights and destinations, this tour offers a rare glimpse into the iconic aircraft’s legacy and its journey to becoming a treasured exhibit at the Fleet Air Arm Museum.

Humphrey - Falklands Hero

Explore the legacy of ‘Humphrey,’ a legendary helicopter of the Falklands Conflict. Enjoy an exclusive, detailed one-to one walk around of this fascinating aircraft with one of the museum’s knowledgeable volunteers, where you will see firsthand the evidence of Humphrey’s heroic efforts during the Falklands War. 

Hear the stories of the brave individuals who flew and maintained it during the conflict along with some of the aircraft’s quirky details from that period.

Aircraft Carrier Experience

Step back in time on the Aircraft Carrier Experience, which highlights the crucial role of aircraft carriers in naval history. Embark on a guided tour of our HMS Ark Royal ‘Carrier Experience,’ which includes a simulated flight on the flight deck.

Explore the history of carrier-borne aircraft, take the ‘bomb lift’ up into the Island, and visit the FlyCo, Fighter Direction Team, Operations Room, and Bridge. This tour offers a vivid glimpse into the lives and challenges of sailors who served on board.

Barracuda Live: The Big Rebuild

Discover the incredible story of the Fairey Barracuda Torpedo Dive Bomber, alongside our ambitious and unique rebuild project to create the world’s only example of a Barracuda aircraft. 

Learn about the challenges and triumphs of restoring the only surviving Barracuda in the world with a personal one to one discussion with one of our knowledgeable volunteers. Hear too, some of background stories and future ambitions connected to this remarkable project.

Cobham Hall

Take a behind-the-scenes look at how we care for and store our collections. You’ll see recent donations, ongoing conservation projects, and visit two of our four stores in Cobham Hall, each housing different material:

  • Document Store – WWI service records, Fleet Air Arm diaries, and aircraft manuals.
  • Textiles Store – uniforms, flying clothing, and fabrics including flags.
  • Small Object Store – personal items, trophies, models, and medals.
  • Rope Store – art, uniforms, and parts of our airship collections.

Please select two stores to visit, or choose one store plus a demonstration of how we prepare and preserve objects. 

Please note: This tour option is separate to the main museum and incurs a £100 surcharge and is limited to 4 in a group.

This includes coffee, Danish pastries, and a souvenir guidebook. Available Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00am to 4:30pm. Ideal for small groups of 1 to 6 people.

For those wishing to choose Cobham Hall as a 'mini tour' option, please note that there is a £100 surcharge and is for up to 4 in a group.
