Gp Capt (Retd) Jock Herron - Military Aircraft Procurement Decisions and Follies
Jock Heron is a retired Group Captain who was a widely experienced RAF fast jet pilot, having flown also on exchange duties with the United States and French Air Forces, before completing his flying career on the first generation Harrier. His MoD tours included justifying the birth of the Tornado and, some years later, the second generation Harrier. After retirement he spent 12 years with Rolls-Royce hence has seen air systems procurement shortcomings both through the eyes of the customer and industry.
Jock has a very erudite presentation style which is easy to listen too but his subjects are thoroughly researched and very informative. We are very fortunate to welcome Jock back to speak on these controversial decisions.
