The National Museum of the Royal Navy will be commemorating the landing of ANZAC commonwealth service personnel at Gallipoli, Turkey, during the First World War. There will be a wreath laying service onboard HMS M.33 on Thursday 25 April 2024 starting at 10:30am.
The service is to be led by Chaplin Ralph Barber, Royal Navy, and will take place onboard the historic ship HMS M33, a monitor which served at Gallipoli in 1915.
We will be commemorating all those who took part in the campaign and those who lost their lives on both sides. The public, veterans and serving personnel are invited share this moment of commemoration with us. As a part of the service there will be a wreath laying from representatives from the UK, Australia and New Zealand on the main deck of the ship. This is alongside two buglers from the Royal Marines School of Music who will perform the reveille.
The Anzac Day service is completely free to anyone who wishes to attend, however entrance to all our attractions will require tickets as usual.
