A new events space is coming to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard as part of the Royal Marines Experience, opening in July 2026. Housed within the Grade II listed Boathouse 6 and re-imagined with a modern twist - featuring a new venue hire space with glass walls overlooking the new museum and a state-of-the-art AV and technology setup to support conferences, presentations, screenings, and workshops.
Available to hire from September 2026, the venue combines an Auditorium, Meeting Room, and Mezzanine breakout space, offering flexible options for events of all sizes. Each space can also be booked individually, or the full venue can be hired for larger gatherings.
Currently under construction, the venue offers a rare opportunity to step inside ahead of public opening. A limited number of behind-the-scenes hard hat tours will be available from April 2026, offering a rare preview of this unique setting.
