Kicking off the evening, the striking melodies of the Military Wives Choir will fill the air. Then brace yourself for an adrenaline-fueled display from the Royal Marines Commando Display Team. See the best of the best showcase their unparalleled skills, agility, and precision in a performance that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

The second part of the evening unfolds with the grandeur and majesty of the Royal Marines Beating Retreat Performance. Be enraptured by the stirring sounds and precision marching of the world famous Band of His Majesty's Royal Marines

How to purchase tickets

This is a ticketed event with limited availability, so secure your ticket early to avoid disappointment. You can make this a truly unforgettable evening with our 'Gold' ticket, which includes a pre-show drink reception and the opportunity to see artefacts from our Royal Marines collection. 

All proceeds from this event are going to support the new Royal Marines Experience Museum in Boathouse 6.

FAQ

Please be aware that Portsmouth Historic Dockyard lies within Portsmouth Naval Base and therefore comes under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Defence (MOD) Security. For this reason, all visitors must enter on foot through Victory Gate. We will operate an ad hoc bag search policy in accordance with advice from the MOD.

Please be aware that you will need to use stairs to access your seats. If you require a wheelchair seat, please tick the box when you purchase your ticket or email enquiries@nmrn.org.uk with your booking reference number.
 

Entry for Gold ticket is from 5:45pm and for standards ticket from 6:15pm.

The event starts at 7PM and will finish around 9PM. We request ticket holders to be seated 15 minutes before the start of the performance. Every effort shall be made to admit latecomers to events at a suitable break in the proceedings, but late admission cannot be guaranteed.

Your concert ticket is only for an Evening with HM Band of Royal Marines & Guests and does not include entry to the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard attractions. If you wish to visit Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, you will need to purchase a separate entry ticket

If you wish to visit Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on the day of the concert, you will still be required to exit the site and re-enter for the concert.

Casual wear – bring warm clothes for the evening. Please note the grandseat have a roof but please be prepared in case of inclement weather. 

Bringing your own food and drink is prohibited unless you have a health condition that requires you to have the items in question on you.

There will be snacks available to purchase on-site if desired, as well as a fully stocked bar.

The performers are on a covered stage and the concert will go ahead. Only in extreme conditions, and where a question of health and safety is involved, would the concert be cancelled. Please ensure you bring adequate clothing for the weather conditions.

We will only refund the ticket if we cancel the event due to extreme weather conditions.
