Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower and the Royal Navy Submarine Museum: Discover incredible event spaces in the heart of Gosport

Unlock the power of history with exclusive venue hire just over the water from Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Our museums are home to an impressive collection of artifacts, exhibits, and interactive displays that showcase the bravery and ingenuity of the past.

Both locations are situated alongside picturesque waterfronts, providing panoramic harbour views, however each site has their own unique charm. Step aboard HMS Alliance, an original World War Two submarine, at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, for an intimate private dinner or entertain your guests in the Grand Magazine, at Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower, perfect for larger occasions.

Our museums are closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays, meaning you can exclusively hire the entire venue for your corporate or private event on these days for a truly exclusive experience. Our experienced event team will be by your side every step of the way to ensure your event runs seamlessly, from initial planning to the big day.
