Seasonal – Fixed Term Contract - £8.21 an hour. (8th April – 3rd Nov 2019)

• Various Seasonal Contracts to assist the Museum as part of a rota pattern. Opportunities include: -

2 x posts - 27.5 hours per week - (8th April  - 3rd November, 12noon until 5.30pm), average of five shifts a week. Working two out of three weekends on a 3 week pattern.

1 x post - 22 hours per week - (8th April  - 3rd November, 12noon until 5.30pm), average of four shifts a week. Working two out of three weekends on a 3 week pattern.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking for a customer facing role to deliver a first class visitor experience at our unique Yeovilton attraction.
Reporting to the Duty Manager / Supervisor, this varied role is pivotal in creating the NMRN’s vision to become the world’s most inspiring Naval Museum.

Key Opportunities

• This is a varied role although the primary focus is to support the Food and Beverage team in the Museum café. There will also be occasional opportunities to work in our shop and within our galleries.
• Ability to work as part of a great team engaging with visitors and ensuring they are receiving a high quality service within a unique heritage working environment.
• Assist in the safety and security for visitors, staff and property.

Knowledge/Experience

• Basic catering experience is essential, and a positive and helpful attitude is vital to the role.
• Whether you're preparing food, serving, clearing tables, or operating tills, you'll thrive in a fast paced environment and always be willing to go the extra mile.
• Basic knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety requirements and a willingness to learn more.
•Display an interest in developing knowledge of the Royal Navy’s stories and heritage to share with visitors and colleagues.
