Finance Services Manager – Portsmouth

Salary:  £35,000-£41,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Permanent - 37.5 hours per week

The National Museum of the Royal Navy is recruiting an experienced Finance Services Manager to join the Resources Directorate.

This role will lead the financial accounting team in delivering the key processes relating to all the financial transactions in the Museum.  The team of 6 is busy and well established, and provides a centralised service to all our sites. Working with financial systems, the team deliver an excellent service to our internal and external stakeholders.

The successful applicant will be a great leader, and will build on the strengths of the team, linking in to our corporate objectives and supporting the broader finance function.  Previous experience in a role like this will be essential, as well as a broad experience of systems that support financial accounting processes.

Candidates will be asked to demonstrate their understanding of regular processes within a financial accounting department, as well as an appreciation of public sector or charity finance.

Applicants should also be excellent communicators with a team ethic, and performance focussed.
