Casual Team Member – Gosport - £8.21 per hour.

Immediate start - Various hours available to help cover annual leave and high peak times.

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is recruiting Team Members to join our Visitor Experience team at the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Gosport.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals to work at The Royal Navy Submarine Museum and The Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower. The successful candidates will be expected to work across both sites in all areas, including retail and catering outlets.

Reporting to Duty Managers, these varied roles are pivotal in creating the NMRN’s vision to become the world’s most inspiring Naval Museum.

Key Opportunities

• To deliver an outstanding level of customer care to all of our users through demonstrating the core competencies and NMRN MARITIME values and behaviours.

• To ensure visitors are welcomed, assisted, delighted, engaged and inspired.

• To maximise income generation via ticket sales, guidebook and merchandise sales, café sales, gift aid conversion and other commercial activity.

• To assist in the safety and security for visitors, staff and property.

• To deliver unique, consistent and high levels of visitor experience and satisfaction, in line with the ethos and branding of NMRN.

Knowledge/Experience

•Experience of working in a customer focused environment with retails and sales knowledge is essential

•Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and Security requirements and a willingness to learn more.

•Track record of delivering outstanding customer care

•Experience of working under pressure.

•Experience of communicating and engaging with a wide and varied audience.
