National Museum of the Royal Navy Tickets

Buy your Tickets

Buying a Ticket to visit the National Museum of the Royal Navy at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Royal Navy Submarine Museum , Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower, Fleet Air Arm Museum or the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool.

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Saturday 31 October, we are sad to confirm that all of the museums and sites of The National Museum of the Royal Navy will be closed from 3.00pm, Wednesday 4 November until Wednesday 2 December 2020.

We are currently updating our ticketing pages so that you will still be able to purchase a ticket whilst we are closed. We are dependent on the money we generate to care for our ships and collections, and if you purchase your ticket while we are temporarily closed, it will not become active until your come for your first visit.

We hope to get our website updated as soon as possible so that you can once again buy tickets ready to visit as soon as we open our doors, however if you have any enquiries about the dockyard or any of the attractions, emailing us on is the best way to get in touch as our team will be reduced during this lockdown period.

We encourage people to follow us on social media where we’ll continue to share fascinating stories from the dockyard and our attractions and collections, as well as any updates we have to share with you, so make sure you follow and like our pages. Alternatively, you can sign up to our newsletter to receive the updates directly to your inbox.

If you want to continue to support us while we are closed and make a donation, please have a look at some of our incredible projects that need your support even more in these challenging times:

We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
