• Using film and drama to explore history
• Inspired art - working with professional artists and collections
• Investigating Portsmouth Dockyard through buildings, documents and maps
• Working with veterans to develop intergenerational learning
• Naval exploration and its role in the development of empire and commonwealth

Current projects

Storehouse 10: New Galleries project with Chichester University

As part of their Creativity Module trainee teachers are working on a project to create activities and resources to enhance schools visits to the new 20th and 21st Century galleries.

BAE Systems How Science works in the Navy with Chichester University

Student teachers are working with the museum to create workshops and online resources for our new BAE Systems-funded ‘How Science works in the Navy’ programme focusing on the appliance of science in everyday aspects of working life in the Navy.

Augmented Reality Project with Portsmouth University

A final year Computer Studies student is currently breaking ground at the museum by creating an Augmented Reality app for HMS Victory. His aim is to help bring life on board the ship alive for visitors in a brand new way through the use of innovative interactive technology.
