Booking a visit

It is essential that all visits and workshops are booked in advance.

To qualify for group rates a minimum of 15 paying people are required. Please note, group tickets are valid for one day only.

College groups

A minimum supervision ratio of 1:12 is required with a ratio of 1:8 adults going free of charge. Any additional adults are charged at £7 for 1 attraction, £8 for 2 attractions and £9 for 3 attractions. A Discovery Visit is a teacher-led, self-guided visit to an attraction within Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, charged per pupil.

Workshop charges vary. Please note we require 21 full working days’ notice of cancellation of workshops. Schools failing to give the required notice will be subject to charges.

How to find us

The National Museum of the Royal Navy is at the far end of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard opposite HMS Victory.

A Drop-off/pick-up point at The Hard and coach parking facilities provided by Portsmouth City Council can be arranged at the time of booking. Price £7.50.
