Here at the National Museum of the Royal Navy we recognise that learning doesn’t stop the day you leave the classroom. We also know that whatever your age learning needs to be fun and exciting! Our wide variety of community events, lectures and workshops run throughout the year and are for everyone, whether you are a regular visitor or making a special visit.
In addition to programmed activities, we take our artefacts and collections into the community giving people the opportunity to handle objects often over 100 years old. If you would like our Community Engagement Officer to come and visit your group please contact them on 02392 727595 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. It’s free of charge, though sometimes, depending on the distance, we may need to ask for a contribution towards travel expenses.
Our naval heritage is an amazing source of inspiration for our varied workshops and events.
We hold a wide range of community events throughout the year. Please see the Events section for full details.
Discover more about the museum by using downloading some of our extra resources such as our easy to use trails.
Throughout the year we offer groups the chance to explore areas of the museum, which are not normally accessible.
