IT Technician


Salary (Grade 2):  £18,800 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week (full-time) – Monday to Friday
Location: Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
Contract: Permanent


This is an exciting opportunity to join our small, friendly IT team at the NMRN based mainly at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with occasional to travel to other NMRN sites from time to time.

You will act as the first point of contact to our users. The role will also include setting up new computers, installing software, troubleshooting PC / software / hardware problems such as printers, and to help support the Audio Visual (AV) equipment across all of our museums and galleries, which includes projectors and interactive displays.

Knowledge/Experience

You will demonstrate a keen interest in developing your IT skills, working across a virtual Windows environment, supporting other off the shelf applications. 

Previous experience of IT is essential, be that through an existing role, or through a qualification gained through College / University or volunteering. In addition, the ability to organise and prioritise workload, meet changing demands and comply with tight deadlines is essential.
