Salary: Grade 1 - £9.50 per hour

Permanent Contracts

Post A and B - Salary: £10,801.50
• 2 Part-Time posts – 21.86 hours a week average
, 22.5 hours per week summer, 7.5 hours per day, 21 hours per week winter, 7 hours per day. On average working 3 days a week, including working every other weekend

Post C - Salary: £7,904 per annum
1 Part-Time post – 16 hours a week average, working a 2-week rota pattern – Week 1 – 12  hours, Week 2 - 20 hours. 4 hour shifts, including working every other weekend.

Post D - Salary: £3,952 per annum
• 1 Part-Time post – 8 hours a week
, 4 hours per day on a Saturday and Sunday

Post E - Salary: £1,976
1 Part-Time post – 4 hours a week working 4 hours on a Saturday one week and working 4 hours on a Sunday the following week.

Fixed Term Contracts, until 30 October 2022

Post F - Part-Time post – 20 hours a week average, working a 2-week rota pattern – Week 1 - 24 hours, Week 2 - 16 hours. 4 hour shifts, including working every other weekend.

Post G - Part-Time post – 18 hours a week average, working a 2-week rota pattern – Week 1 - 20 hours, Week 2 - 16 hours. 4 hour shifts, including working every other weekend.

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is recruiting for Team Members and Casual Team Members to join our team working in a unique heritage environment. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking for a customer facing role to deliver a first-class visitor experience in all our exceptional attractions at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

Reporting to the Visitor Experience Managers and Supervisors, this varied role is pivotal in creating the NMRN’s vision to become the world’s most inspiring Naval Museum.

We are looking for friendly and outgoing individuals who will be confident engaging with our audiences. We want every visitor to have an extraordinary and enriching experience, every time they visit. As a Team Member you’ll ‘make it happen’ whether you're welcoming visitors on arrival, serving on the tills or positioned out and about engaging within our galleries, ships and shops.

Knowledge/Experience

• Experience of working in a customer focused environment with retail and sales knowledge an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and Security requirements and a willingness to learn more.
• The ability to communicate and engage with a wide and varied audience.
