Salary (Grade 6): £30,350 - £35,500 (£24,280 - £28,400 pro-rata per annum dependent upon experience)

Hours: 30 hours per week

Location: Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - hybrid working (combination of working onsite and from home) - travel to different sites will be required from time to time

The HR team is a small team with big ambitions, and we need a HR Business Partner to join the team to support the development and delivery of HR and OD initiatives, helping the National Museum to achieve its strategic objectives through its people.   This is a varied role which covers employment relations, health and wellbeing, recruitment and retention, learning and development, equality, diversity and inclusion and change management across multiple professions and geographical locations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment working as part of a small caring, passionate and enthusiastic team of HR professionals.

Key Opportunities

• Coaching, supporting and empowering line managers across the National Museum as part of our management development programme.

• Supporting recruitment and selection processes to ensure we employ the right people, with the right skills at the right time.  Paying particular attention to ensuring the process is free from bias and offering constructive challenge where appropriate.  Contributing to the development of our employer brand and supporting the implementation of our new recruitment system.

• Using people metrics to help identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Designing and/or delivering people related training and awareness sessions for staff and managers across the National Museum.

Knowledge/Experience

• You will have experience of working within a fast-paced HR environment with the ability to respond quickly and prioritise to meet competing demands. 

• You will have demonstratable experience of change management and ER/case management. 
• You have strong communication, interpersonal and empathy skills to be able to respond to sensitive issues with compassion and maintain confidentiality at all times.

• You have a CIPD level 5 or above qualification in HR or equivalent experience.  You are able to demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.

Team work is extremely important to us and you must be able to work well as part of a team and be flexible and adaptable to meeting changing priorities and demands.
