Salary (Grade 1): £9.00 per hour (£9.50 from 1st April)

We are recruiting to a range of seasonal posts as follows:

4th April 2022 (or ASAP thereafter) to 30th October 2022

Post 1  1 x Saturday & Sunday  11.15 – 17.15  (11hrs per week)*
Post 2  1 x Saturday & Sunday  12.00 – 15.00  (6hrs per week)
Post 3  1 x Saturday & Sunday  10.30 – 16.00  (10hrs per week)*
Post 4  1 x Tuesday & Thursday  10.30 – 16.00  (10hrs every 2nd week)*
  (every second week only)
Post 5  1 x Monday to Friday   12.00 – 15.00  (15hrs per week)

4th April 2022 (or ASAP thereafter) to 4th September 2022

Post 6  1 x Saturday & Sunday  10.30 – 16.30 (11hrs per week)*

*A 30 minute unpaid break is deducted for shifts of 5.5hrs or more that span the lunch period.

There is flexibility for candidates to apply for one or more of these roles or to propose to work only some of the offered work pattern e.g. to work only on a Saturday or to work only every second weekend or to combine post 4 with post 1, 2 or 3 etc. Candidates should include any such preferences in their application and make clear which posts/hours they are applying for. Permanent Positions
There is also the opportunity for two candidates to continue into the winter season in permanent, annualised hours contracts of 11hrs per week worked every Saturday and Sunday in the winter, alternating with the relevant summer contracts specified above.

Casual Team Member
Salary: £9.00 +13.5% holiday pay per hour (£10.22 per hour)
(£9.50 +13.5% holiday pay - £10.78 per hour from 1st April)
Casual Staff are required to cover for staff sickness and holiday, and additional hours primarily at weekends and school holidays

We are recruiting for Team Members and Casual Team Members to join our friendly visitor experience team working in a unique heritage environment in Hartlepool. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking for a customer facing role to deliver a first-class visitor experience at our exceptional attraction. This will be an exciting summer for visitors to our Hartlepool museum as we open the Horrible Histories: Pirates exhibition from Easter.

Successful candidates will be expected to work across the site in all areas, including retail and catering outlets and will take an active role in delivering talks, tours and demonstrations to visitors.

Reporting to the Visitor Experience Manager and Supervisor, these varied roles are pivotal in creating the NMRN’s vision to become the world’s most inspiring Naval Museum.

• Experience of working in a customer focused environment with retail and sales knowledge an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and Security requirements and a willingness to learn more.
