Quiet Hour – Sensory Tour

Come along to a gentle and inclusive visit to Explosion Museum. The tour takes place before the museum opens with a free play session to finish off the fun.

This activity is especially for families that include children with SEND or sensory issues. The museum will be peaceful and the experience unpressured and child led.

The Quiet Hour - Sensory Tour will take place on Sunday 17th September from 9:30am to 10:30am. This is a free event but spaces are limited to 15 so pre-booking is essential.

The National Museum of the Royal Navy, alongside Portsmouth Historic Dockyard generally, is proud to be taking part in Heritage Open Days this year. With a theme of ‘Creativity Unwrapped’ we’ve got events sure to get you thinking about British naval history in a whole new way.

Get inspired by crafty submariners, the unusual and thought-provoking items in our collection, and the work of the shipwrights combining traditional and modern techniques to work on the flagship of Horatio Nelson.
